Cops pass on charging Legion for online bingo
The Royal Canadian Legion in Yellowknife is off the hook for an innovative fundraiser gone wrong. The Legion advertised online bingo for the Northwest Territories and Nunavut in the newspaper last week, but the plan was scrapped after it was told online gambling is illegal.
