Smoking banned in bars, restaurants, bingo halls
DOWNTOWN AKRON Summit County Council narrowly passed an amended smoking ban at its meeting Nov. 21, with exclusions granted to bowling alleys, private clubs and a racetrack. Bars, restaurants and bingo parlors, however, must be smoke-free in three months, by Feb. 28.
