Smoke ban’s exemption for casinos challenged
Former Atlantic City Mayor James Whelan yesterday kicked off his legislative career by challenging the casinos in his district. Whelan, a Democrat who joined the state Assembly last week, introduced legislation that would remove the casino-floor exemption from the new law that bans smoking in all indoor public places.
