TRENTON, N.J., July 8 (UPI) — Gov. Jon Corzine signed the New Jersey budget just after dawn Saturday morning, ending a week when Atlantic City casinos and many state offices were closed.

For much of last week, prayers went unanswered at New Jersey’s churches of chance.
