Aug. 9 (UNION-TRIBUNE): A group of six California tribes, including two in San Diego County, appear to have averted a potential legal showdown with Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger by meeting yesterday’s deadline to either remove versions of slot machines that seat multiple gamblers or count each station as a separate device.
