Online gambling firm to shut down
LONDON — The Internet gambling company BetOnSports PLC announced today that it is shutting down its United States-focused operations because of a U.S. federal indictment restraining its operations.

- By the 1370s, playing cards had reached Europe in a form that is recognizable today, with a pack consisting of 52 cards with suits of swords, polo-sticks, cups and coins.
