Panel favors creating zone for slots, and protecting it
Bethlehem planners recommend changes to keep nuisance businesses from planned casino area. The Bethlehem Planning Commission on Thursday recommended to City Council a package of zoning law changes that guarantees the right of Las Vegas Sands Corp. to build a slot machine parlor on former Bethlehem Steel land, while attempting to prevent nuisance businesses from sprouting around the neighborhood.
