Agua Caliente plan to add casino gets past Senate, barely

SACRAMENTO, Aug. 22 (COPLEY NEWS SERVICE): The Senate yesterday narrowly approved a new agreement that would allow one of the state’s wealthiest tribes to build a third casino and add up to 3,000 more slot machines to its Palm Springs gambling empire.
