Casinos still off-limits to addicts
Thousands of gambling addicts who have permanently banned themselves from Missouri’s casinos won’t get a chance to reconsider - at least not yet. On Wednesday, the Missouri Gaming Commission rejected a plan that would have let problem gamblers remove their names from the banned list after two years.

Interesting gambling facts:
- The word Casino originally meant a public hall for music and dancing. By the second half of the 19th century, the term essentially meant a collection of gaming or gambling rooms. The classic example of a casino, is the casino at Monte-Carlo, which was opened in 1861.
