Assembly rejects gambling compact for powerful tribe
SACRAMENTO, Aug. 29 (COPLEY NEWS SERVICE): In a stunning defeat for one of the state’s most powerful Indian tribes, the Assembly last night soundly rejected a lucrative new gambling agreement for the Agua Caliente band of Palm Springs.

Casino gambling information:
- Dice games have existed in one form or another for over 2000 years and were originally played with dice fashioned from the knucklebones of sheep.
