BURNABY, BRITISH COLUMBIA– - Gateway Casinos Income Fund announced today that further to its press release dated September 6, 2006, the United Food and Commercial Workers, Local 401 , which represents the employees of the Palace Casino in Edmonton, Alberta, began strike action at the casino as of 9:00am on September 9, 2006.
