Twenty-five years is a lifetime for most casinos
Boyd Gaming recently announced that the storied Stardust, which opened in 1958, will close its doors for the first — and final — time on November 1. This historic event is still far enough away that we will have plenty of time to reflect on the legacy of this particular casino, so now is a good time to consider the lifespan of casinos, which seems to be getting progressively shorter.
