La. Casino take down from July, but better than August ‘05
NEW ORLEANS Overall revenue for Louisiana casinos dropped by 17 (m) million dollars from July to August, but last month was still much better for the gambling halls than August 2005.

Casino gambling facts:
- Although baccara has its origins in medieval Italy, it soon spread to France, where it was called "chemin de fer" (meaning railway, due to the action of the card box or shoe passing around the table on "tracks").
