Church Group Publicly Opposes Casino

PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island clergy spoke out Friday about what they claim would be the negative effects of casino gambling in the state. NBC 10’s Mario Hilario reported that the Rhode Island State Council of Churches officially and publicly put its support behind the anti-casino group Save Our State . The council is made up of various Protestant denominations and church organizations in the state.
