A labour dispute at a legion hall delayed bingo patrons and resulted in a picket being hit by a vehicle yesterday. About two dozen members of the Canadian Auto Workers (CAW) union marched in front of the Fort Rouge and Imperial Legion last night, asking patrons to boycott a regular bingo night.
It has taken almost two years for Dave Hofferber, left and Chris Ferrell, both of Lexington, to perfect a cardholder designed for people who cannot hold playing cards.

After only re-opening at its new location on McIrvine Road in July, the Fort Frances Bingo Hall will be closing its doors at the end of the year. As of Dec. 31, 2006, 800438 Ontario Limited, operating as the Fort Frances Bingo Hall, will be closing its operations.
