Tribe appeals award to casino developer
WAYLAND TOWNSHIP — The Gun Lake Band of Pottawatomi Indians is appealing an arbitrator’s $1.8 million award of damages to a casino developer that it initially contracted with in 1998 to plan and fund gambling operations, federal court documents show.
