Spokane Tribe reaches gambling deal
SPOKANE — After years of operating casinos in defiance of the law, the Spokane Tribe of Indians has reached a tentative deal with federal and state regulators that also could pave the way for other tribes to expand gambling.

Casino gambling facts:
- Indian tribes have used their position as sovereign entities to develop a number of gaming establishments. Indian casinos operate in 22 states. This number is expected to grow.
