Judge upholds denial of racetrack owner’s request for casino deal
The reputation of Arizona gaming would suffer if the state allowed a racetrack owner with a questionable history to simulcast horse races inside Indian casinos, an administrative law judge reaffirmed.

- The brand new resort, Wynn Las Vegas recently opened on the Las Vegas Strip. At a cost of approximately $2.7 billion, the Wynn Las Vegas features 2,700 guestrooms and suites, casino (table games, over 1900 slots/video poker machines, poker room with race and sports book), several restaurants, a night club, golf, a shopping esplanade and a show called Le Reve.
- Parimutuel wagering refers to the type of gambling where the total prize pool is based upon the amount of money wagered. The more money gambled, the bigger the prize.
