Kansas Gambling Bill Passes
Kansas would get into the casino business under a bill legislators approved to expand gambling. Supporters argued the state eventually could reap $200 million a year in revenues; both casinos and slot machines authorized at dog and horse tracks would be owned by the Kansas Lottery.
