Committee recommends UI sever ties to lottery, gambling
The University of Iowa Athletics Department should sever ties to the Iowa Lottery and other gambling entities, a UI committee recommended Thursday.

Gambling casinos history:
- The first airplane flight to Las Vegas was made in May, 1920, with Lieutenant Randall Henderson, editor of the Blythe, California Herald, and Jack Beckley.
