Hoosiers OK budget, slots, higher cigarette tax
INDIANAPOLIS The Indiana House and Senate adjourned for the year shortly before midnight yesterday after passing a budget, property-tax relief and a bill that permits slot machines at Indiana’s horse tracks. The cost of a pack of cigarettes also will increase by 44 cents to pay for an Indiana insurance program for low-income Hoosiers
