Justices hear slots appeals

Applicants who were rejected for a lucrative slot-machine gambling license in Philadelphia took their gripes to the state Supreme Court today, as the justices found themselves in an admittedly awkward role.

Gambling casinos history:

  • In 1973, the Commission on the Review of National Policy toward Gambling was created to study gambling in the United States.
