New slots bode well for Indiana program
Governor Mitch Daniels on Friday signed House Bill 1835, which will allow 2,000 slot machines at both Indiana harness racetracks — Hoosier Park in Anderson and Indiana Downs in Shelbyville.

- Video Poker machines were introduced in the 1970s, when an oil embargo had a negative impact on Vegas revenues. The machines were popular enough to spark a recovery in casino business.
