Mississippi casinos continue on the path to a record year buoyed by hefty gains in the Gulf Coast gaming properties.

State prosecutors say they will continue to press their case against the remaining five defendants in what state investigators have called a multi-million dollar bingo scam even though a jury on Friday acquitted the first three defendants on all 29 counts of complicity to violate the state’s bingo laws.

Friday night, NewsChannel 9 brought you the premiere episode of “National Bingo Night.” It’s new to TV, but it’s not so new to area organizations.

Armed with lucky charms, daubers, plastic tiles and a little bit of cash, dozens of area residents flock to bingo events each week in Ottawa County. I support what theyre doing.

Some opponents of gambling in Jackson County, Miss. aren’t depending on elected officials to block a proposed Choctaw casino - they’re looking to a higher power.

‘National Bingo Night’ Airs Fridays on ABC

ABC Television is starting a nationwide bingo game in hopes of getting more people to watch television on Friday nights. The twist? Viewers at home can play along with the interactive game and win cash, trips and prizes.
