Metro councilman indicted on gambling charge
Metro Councilman Ludye Wallace has been indicted on a misdemeanor gambling charge stemming from an incident at a north Nashville house last June.

- Catholics were found to be more likely to gamble than Protestants and other religious groups. Catholics were also found to be less likely to disapprove of gambling than other religious groups.
- The second oldest casino hotel resort on the Las Vegas Strip was the Last Frontier and it opened in October of 1942. It had 105 guestrooms and the property was made to look like an old western town. The first casino hotel resort opened just 18 months earlier and was called El Rancho.
