Pa. Court Upholds Philly Casinos
The state’s highest court on Tuesday upheld the decision of state regulators to allow groups led by a Connecticut Indian tribe and by a Chicago billionaire developer to build slot-machine casinos on Philadelphia’s riverfront.

- Indian tribes have used their position as sovereign entities to develop a number of gaming establishments. Indian casinos operate in 22 states. This number is expected to grow.
