It’s an unlikely scam: hundreds of thousands of dollars in bingo proceeds that are supposed to benefit the disabled, but instead vanish into someone’s pockets. Unfortunately it’s become a reality on Long Island, where bingo fans in the community of Coram were stunned to learn there may be a thief among them.
