GREENVILLE - Bingo players, like restaurant patrons and others throughout Greenville who smoke, will have to leave their cigarettes behind them when a new smoking ban takes effect next month, but a local bingo operation is challenging the ban in court.
A 79-year-old Putney pensioner struck the jackpot last Sunday when she won £100,000 playing bingo. The widow, who does not want to be named, has been playing bingo for many years but was still shocked by her big win at Wandsworth’s Mecca Club in Garratt Lane.
