Compulsive Gambler Files $20M Suit Against Casinos
A 37-year-old woman blames several Atlantic City and Las Vegas casinos for not noticing her gambling problem and cutting her off before she lost nearly $1 million in their establishments. “I would pass out at the tables,” the woman says. “They had a duty of care to me.” The casinos deny any wrongdoing.

- U.S. News and World Report did a comparison of crime rates in cities with gambling versus those that do not. The crime rates were significantly higher in the places that allowed gambling.
