Bingo briefs
FUNDRAISING BINGO | Portage The Bonner Senior Center holds its monthly fundraiser bingo on the first Sunday of each month, except for holiday weekends, at the center, 5800 Lexington Ave. Early-bird bingo starts at 12:15 p.m., with regular bingo at 1 p.m. Setups are $15 and include lunch and door prizes.

- In 1911, the state of California ruled that "draw" poker was a skill, and thus could not be banned under existing anti-gambling laws. However, "Stud" poker was still considered illegal at the time.
