Ameristar swings to 1Q loss on hefty impairment charge
Ameristar Casinos Inc. said Thursday it swung to a first-quarter loss, weighed down by a hefty impairment charge. The casino operator reported a loss of $60.9 million, or $1.07 per share, compared with a profit of $24 million, or 41 cents per share a year earlier.
