Taiwan’s Penghu Island Anticipates Casino-Tourism Development
The Penghu county government is planning to have plots of public land ready for the construction of gambling casinos on the offshore island, Penghu Magistrate Wang Chien-fa said Thursday.

- Casino chips were used in the 18th century as a substitute for money being wagered. Originally, they were pieces of bones, mother of pearl or ivory engraved with the name of the casino and their respective value.
