Massachusetts casino effort revived by state senate Republicans
BOSTON - Senate Republicans launched a new effort today to approve resort casinos, pledging to use the state budget to force a vote on the issue. The effort came after Senate leaders unveiled a $28 billion state budget that relies heavily on reserves and tax increases to remain in balance.
