Greektown Casino files for bankruptcy

Greektown Casino has filed for bankruptcy reorganization, a move that effectively blocks the Michigan Gaming Control Board from forcing a sale of the gambling hall. It also allows the casino to continue operations while it refinances millions of dollars of loans needed to finish the casino expansion and construction of a full-service 400-room hotel.
