GP surgery boss jailed after stealing £70,000 to fund internet gambling addiction
A surgery manager who stole more than £70,000 from the practice to fund her addiction to gambling has been jailed for a year. Mother-of-three Penny Sudworth wept after admitting what NHS anti-fraud investigators branded ‘a disgraceful abuse of her position’.
