Woman gets probation in bingo theft case
An eastern Kentucky woman who oversaw bingo games has been sentenced to five years probation for stealing money from a veterans group. She has also been ordered to repay $49,000. Julie L. Weedman of Evarts is the former treasurer of the ladies auxiliary at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Lodge 11139 in Middlesboro. She pleaded guilty to a 97-count indictment.
