Fla. Supreme Court Nixes Expanding Gambling
The Florida Supreme Court overturns an agreement Gov. Charlie Crist signed with the Seminole Tribe to expand gambling at its casinos.

Gambling casinos history:
- Legal gambling operations in Washington reported $1.7 billion in net receipts in 2005: 61 percent was reported by tribal casinos, 10 percent came from the state lottery. 2 percent of responders in a February state survey said they placed bets online.

- Parimutuel wagering refers to the type of gambling where the total prize pool is based upon the amount of money wagered. The more money gambled, the bigger the prize.
