Sports Betting on the Book in Ontario Casinos
We could soon be seeing Las Vegas style sports gambling in casinos across Ontario. As casinos continue to see a decline in revenues because of fewer American visitors, the Mcguinty government is calling on Ottawa to amend the Criminal Code and create casino “Sportsbooks.”

- In 1978, New Jersey became the second state to legalize casino gambling in an attempt to revitalize the rundown resort area of Atlantic City. The legalization was restricted only to Atlantic City.
