Bingo partners finally win 13-year battle with Florida
An Orlando judge has ordered Florida’s Attorney General to pay $5.3 million to two businessmen whose Florida bingo halls were shut down 13 years ago in raids by authorities who accused them of cheating charities.

- Massachusetts decriminalized bingo in 1931 in an attempt to help churches and charitable organizations raise money. Bingo was legal in 11 states by the 1950s, usually only for charity purposes.
- The first World Series of Poker was held in downtown Las Vegas at the Horseshoe Casino back in 1970.
