Miss. records drop in casino revenue in ‘08
Mississippi casino gambling revenue in 2008 fell to $2.72 billion, down about 5.9 percent from the prior year. The drop was not unexpected. Regulators and industry watchers had expected a downturn with the sluggish economy and people being more careful with spending.
