Florida Senate looks to gambling, cigarettes to help raise money for budget

The Florida Senate wants to raise cigarette taxes and use higher court fees and $500 million in new revenue from expanded gambling in a budget-balancing act lawmakers hope could avert deeper cuts in state spending.
