Man shot while gambling in backyard

ST. LOUIS Police said a man gambling with others in the backyard of a vacant house in the 5200 block of Highland Avenue was shot and killed Wednesday afternoon. The victim, in his late teens or early 20s, was shot in the head, chest and hand about 2:40 p.m., police said. His name was not released.
