For the second time in a week, a man has pleaded guilty to operating an illegal sports gambling business in Kansas City. Charles J. Simone, 24, of Liberty, admitted Thursday that he began work as a bookmaker in late December 2008 and continued until March 31, 2009, when federal agents seized a laptop computer, notebooks and other records.
