A Southwest Missouri man whose experience as a sign maker gave him the expertise and tools he needed to counterfeit poker chips was sentenced this week in federal court in Oklahoma to five years of probation for using those chips to steal from a casino.

German police have arrested a suspected organiser of an armed robbery of a high-stakes poker tournament at one of Berlin’s swankiest hotels - a man who played in the tournament himself.

Berlin police and prosecutors said the 31-year-old - identified only as Mohammed Abou-C. in line with German privacy laws - was arrested early Friday as he was driving through the capital.
